Multi-family buildings Girona

This 50-home project in Girona features 50 parking spaces and 20 storage rooms.

Our main strategy for such a sizable project was to keep the common areas to the bare minimum to avoid taking away space from each home.

The difficulty of this strategy was the very stringent regulations in Girona, which require homes to be dual-aspect or have their own specific ventilation. The project underwent an initial fire risk assessment due to its large size.

Based on these premises, we designed two cores connected by a corridor and fitted with recuperators to ensure the daily renewal of the air.

For the facade, we used bricks of a different colour to draw vertical lines, softening its overall appearance and achieving a more urban scale with smaller pieces.
